A catch-all functionality that is activated for a certain e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you remove an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you run a company, for example. Since you may start receiving junk email messages, you can combine the catch-all option with email filters so as to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
Creating a catch-all email mailbox will be extremely easy if you have a Linux hosting with our company. You can activate this option through our powerful, yet simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your account. You will find all the mailboxes that you have created listed alphabetically and next to each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you if a specific mailbox receives all the emails associated with a given domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature at any time. If there is active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your permission.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
A catch-all address can be set up with several mouse clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create mailboxes using any domain name hosted here. To enable the catch-all feature for a specific mailbox, you’ll have to click the icon with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Deactivating the feature can be accomplished in the very same way and will not require more than a click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a given domain, you will receive a warning message. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never change or disable any feature automatically.
